NPR's Planet Money

NPR created this podcast when the economy was just starting to implode, and even though the financial apocalypse is less sensationally horrible now (and more just plain depressing) it's still great reporting of the issues at a level anyone can understand.

I've been listening since the beginning but wanted to wait until my mad investigative journalism skills were featured on the site, which finally happened today:

A couple months ago I got a Flickr mail from a photo researcher asking if she could she pay me cash money to use this picture of my hometown in an atlas:

I gave my answer and promptly forgot about it until today when I idly Googled it, and lo and behold:

BOOYAH, INTERNET.

Of course I called my folks up, and after about five minutes of explaining the milennial concepts of Flickr, Flickr mail, digital photography, and online photo researching, I got my carrot: "Well, it almost paid for the trip home, didn't it?" Which, really, is all anyone can ask for.
