Still replacing pieces of West Coast life with Southern life; I'm
putting off changing the license plates because while California's is
boring in a utilitarian way, Georgia's is willfully ugly.

Something I haven't ~~complained about yet~~ mentioned is how much it's been raining here, because a) it's epically abnormal (the past three years have been drought-ridden) and b) it's hard to take pictures of rain.

On average, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, Athens gets 3.3 inches of rain in October. As of yesterday, the current amount is up to 8.9 inches, helped enormously by a 3.8" Forrest Gump-esque one-day deluge a few weeks ago. At least if we'd moved to the Pacific northwest there would be a better job market.

However, THIS I can get behind:

I might even not have to ruin my costume with an overthing (other than a beer jacket, of course).*

We're so behind schedule for getting back to Athens, but wait until you see what Mama and I sewed. Okay, well, I did the parts that necessitate moderate motor functions and she did the parts that require half a century of of expert seamstressing skills, but whatever.
