Craigslist roundup

So I'm retired now, and it's awesome. That whole "get out of bed before you want to, shower and find clothes that don't look slatternly and put on your face and commute in various flavors of WEATHER" shtick is a thing of the past and I couldn't be happier.

The only problem is that I'm not quite sure how to use of all that time that used to be spent making money. I mean, I'm going for a run here and there, and I've baked some cookies and taken some pictures, and then there's extensive anthropomorphizing-of-the-cat. But there's still so many hours in the day left, which is how I find myself trolling local Craigslists: flagging spam, occasionally peeking at that jobs section (which I don't advise unless you want to cry), and seeing if there's anything cheap enough for an unemployed person to buy.

Of course, the best place to find that last item is athens, GA craigslist > for sale / wanted > farm & garden:

Pure Bat Guano - $7 (Athens, Georgia)

I work in wildlife and have bagged and sifted hundreds of pounds of bat guano. Bat guano is one of natures greatest natural organic fertilizers. It is very high in plant nutrients, specifically nitrogen. BAT GUANO SHOULD ALWAYS BE HANDLED WITH GLOVES, AND FACE MASK. I have copious amounts of guano and can negotiate deals on large quantities. I prefer to sell it by the bucket (20lbs for $125), but will sell it by the pound for $7 per lb.

Seven dollars for PURE guano! Even if I never make another cent - which, hey, in this economy, anything is possible - I could totally panhandle that amount on a busy Athens streetcorner in one afternoon. But there isn't just batshit for sale on craigslist - there's free livestock advice:

RE goats in comer - $1 (Friendly advice)

I didnt feel comfortable calling, but I do think that if you put some good minerals and wormer into those goats, that you could get what they are really worth. If i wasnt so pregnant myself right now Id snatch that red doe up in a heartbeat as the price is very low for the structure on that goat. Most things made for goats do NOT work and you have to go off lable.
If you would like my help on improving your goats please feel free to email me, and no, you wont have to spend a ton of money. Im not a vet but have leared allot in goat husbandry and done allot of personal research.

To think, here I was considering deworming my goats with brand name products. While pregnant! (Note: I AM NOT PREGNANT THAT WAS A JOKE. If I wanted to do that much work I would go find a job and get paid for it and not have to worry about diluting my flawless gene pool with Steve's poor vision and inability to predict how long things will take).

And then there's just a whole mess of farm-related unintentional wordplay:

chicken drinkers - $3 (Jefferson)

Pygmy babies coming soon! Call and reserve now! - $50 (Elbert County, Georgia)

Cowhorse breeding at it's best ! (Dewy Rose)

The real question is, wouldn't the cowhorse's horns get caught in its mane?
