Eurodetermination
13 weeks for 100 euros a day : "This summer, the Frugal Traveler is embarking on the Grand Tour, reimagining the classic European journey as a budget-minded, modern-day jaunt...Matt Gross will circle the continent in search of cool hotels, memorable meals and contemporary culture."
Conversely, a wise man once said: "Save Europe for when you're old and rich. I promise it'll still be there." I always think of that quote now when I see these "Europe on a shoestring" pieces.
I've also been following fellow southerner Glynnis Ritchie since she was Kottke'd her senior year of high school - she's now a college junior and living in Paris for a year. Every post makes me intensely jealous; I continue to self-flagellate/read in hopes that envy will galvanize my efforts to leave American soil again.
